The Cayin IDAC-6 MK2 uses both DACs in a fully symmetrical architecture to optimize channel separation and signal-to-noise ratio. It can thus ensure perfect conversion of PCM streams up to 32 bits / 768 kHz, as well as DSD streams up to DSD512.

To meet every user's listening needs, the Cayin IDAC-6M2 DAC provides two different line output stages. The first is a classic transistor stage, while the second uses four 6N1B electronic tubes. The user can thus choose to benefit from a precise and dynamic sound with a chiseled or mellow signature. In addition, the output volume can be fixed or variable, allowing the Cayin IDAC-6MK2 to be used in preamp mode with a power amplifier.

In practice, the Cayin IDAC-6 MK2 DAC has a large control screen similar to that of the Cayin iDAP-6 network drive. Using this display, you can quickly adjust DAC settings, get information about the playback stream, or select one of five digital filters to adjust the sound signature of the Cayin IDAC-6MK2 DAC.

On the connector side, the Cayin IDAC-6 MK2 DAC provides no less than 6 digital inputs, including two coaxial inputs, an optical input, an AES/EBU input, an I2S HDMI input, as well as a USB AUDIO IN type B input for easy music playback from a computer, network player, or music server. On the output side, the Cayin IDAC-6 MK2 DAC has an RCA analog output and a balanced XLR analog output. This makes it ideal for use with any HiFi or headphone amplifier.
