The ÆON 2 Open is the open-back version of Dan Clark Audio’s acclaimed ÆON series. It pairs advanced planar magnetic technology with a lightweight, travel-ready design, delivering an exceptionally natural, dynamic, and spacious presentation.
A 180°-rotated driver architecture helps avoid unwanted airflow effects, resulting in a more open, realistic sound with excellent transparency.
The ÆON 2 is far more than a minor revision. Inspired by learnings from the reference ETHER 2, it was rebuilt from the ground up. The new planar driver uses updated magnetic field technology and a revised motor structure to minimize distortion and control energy with great precision.
The result is noticeably higher clarity, dynamics, and tonal balance. The open variant brings a drier mid-bass and a larger sense of space. Expect controlled bass, clean mids, and silky treble.
A NiTinol (nickel-titanium memory metal) headband adds flexibility and durability. The lightweight, ergonomic fit stays comfortable during long sessions. Dan Clark Audio’s folding mechanism allows the headphone to pack down neatly into the included carry case—perfect for audiophiles on the move.
