Hifi was a big hobby for Andreas Wagner, the founder of Level Audio, already as a teenager. Grabbing an amp, going on a train through the south of Germany and discovering speakers that he might like, and be able to afford. Mobile Hifi was a big thing too, as the kid with the biggest mp3 player (that had its own remote control), headphone amp and full sized cans, just to go to school with.

Then he discovered a passion for producing music, which ended in a vocational training in Baden-Baden, where he became an audio engineer at the European Media- and Event-Academy.

After that, he worked in the Hifi retail business for a handful of years, from giving purchase advice to installing stereos in customers homes.

And finally, he was ready to treat Hifi as just a hobby... that's when he discovered that he didn't have anywhere close to the selection of things around him that he would like to try and maybe own - so he decided to bring that selection here himself.

You might notice that in this shop, it's going to be very rare that we have the whole catalog of items from any given manufacturer. The reason is, if we don't offer something - we might just not like that product very much. The selection on here is a reflection of our opinions, and anything that you can see, we could recommend to you with a good conscience.

And if our opinions diverge too much, just write to us.

It starts with a 30-day money-back-guarantee. Did you order something, and now you're quarreling with yourself if this was the right choice? Send it back 29 days later and don't even think about it anymore.

Or you want to try something, or compare 2 headphones against each other? If just buying 2 headphones at full price is not in the cards, just borrow them and test them at home for up to 30 days. New customers pay a 50% deposit, so you effectively pay for 1 and test 2; existing customers borrow without a deposit. How the home trial works.

If you end up buying something, and you end up sending it back, and have a bad feeling about it like we sometimes do: don't! Somebody else is happy to buy an open box item for less, or we can use it as demo hardware.

Found something from our shop for less elsewhere? Then show us before you buy: if you can demonstrate that you can get it delivered to your country for a lower total cost, we will match that price.

The following conditions apply:

• Before you buy: the guarantee applies before you place your order. We do not refund price differences afterwards.
• Total cost: what counts is the total you pay for delivery to your country, i.e. purchase price, shipping and, where applicable, customs duties and import charges.
• Price on request: the guarantee also applies to items with the “Ask For Price” button, except open box items and bundles. The comparison is then made with the special price in our email.
• New goods: the cheaper offer is also for a new item.
• Same version: the same model in the same version, for example colour, wood or connector.
• Authorised dealer: the dealer is authorised for your country or for the EU. A dealer in the USA, for example, through whom you get no warranty in the EU does not count.
• Available: the item is actually available from that seller.
• Not included: marketplaces such as Amazon or eBay, auctions, and prices with vouchers or cashback.
• Clearance sales and promotions: for clearance sales and time-limited discount promotions by other retailers, we decide case by case. There is no entitlement to a price match in these cases.

We want to be respectful with your time, money and data. We will never send you a newsletter that you didn't give us explicit permission to send to you beforehand.

We don't want to waste your time having to find the 'unsubscribe' button. We don't want to waste your money, so if you are interested in something and wonder if you can get a discount: ask us for our best price. If you have found it for less elsewhere, our best price guarantee applies.

We will however inform you about important steps concerning your specific order - so you can start warming up the tubes, or downloading new songs and prepare for your new toy.
