Entries marked “local storage” or “session storage” are not cookies but data in the storage of your browser (localStorage or sessionStorage); they are treated like cookies. Local storage entries without a stated duration remain until they are deleted, session storage entries until you close the browser tab. The reCAPTCHA entries are only created on the contact, registration and login pages and at checkout, the PayPal entries only on product pages, in the cart and at checkout.

4. Legal basis

Analytics and marketing cookies and similar entries in your browser storage are used only with your consent (Art. 122 (1) Codice privacy, Art. 6 (1)(a) GDPR). No consent is required for essential cookies (category “Essential”) (Art. 122 (1) Codice privacy); they are used to perform the contract (Art. 6 (1)(b) GDPR) or based on legitimate interest (Art. 6 (1)(f) GDPR) to ensure the site functions properly. Without consent we also use the entries of our own visitor statistics (category “Statistics (own)”): these statistics serve only this shop, store your IP address only in shortened form and do not pass any data to third parties. In doing so, we rely on the cookie guidelines of the Italian data protection authority (Garante per la protezione dei dati personali) of 10 June 2021, point 7.2, under which such analytics entries may, under certain conditions, be used like essential cookies without consent; shortening the IP address is one of our safeguards. The processing is based on our legitimate interest in measuring the use of our shop (Art. 6 (1)(f) GDPR); you can object via the link “Turn off statistics for this browser” (see our Privacy Policy, section 6).

5. Managing your preferences

When visiting our site for the first time, you can accept or decline via the cookie banner all cookies and similar entries except those in the categories “Essential” and “Statistics (own)” (see section 4); you can object to our own statistics via the link “Turn off statistics for this browser” in our Privacy Policy, section 6. We store your choice in the cookie “cookie_law” (12 months if you accept, 6 months if you decline); after that we ask again. You can change your choice at any time via the “Cookie settings” link at the bottom of every page and withdraw any consent given there with effect for the future; the cookie banner will then appear again.
