Dan Clark Audio ETHER Flow 1.1 – open-back planar magnetic with 1.1 tuning, TrueFlow & V-Planar; also available as C Flow closed for superb isolation.
Open, precise, comfortable – high-performance in a classic full-size design
ETHER Flow 1.1 delivers a confident blend of resolution, dynamics, and long-term comfort. As the open-back version it’s known for a natural soundstage and transparency, while the ETHER C Flow as the closed-back reference sets the benchmark for isolation and focused, punchy performance—ideal when you want to block ambient noise or avoid disturbing others.
Dan Clark’s passion for headphone enthusiasts shows in the continuous upgrading of existing models. Alongside the acclaimed Ether 2, the ETHER Flow series received the 1.1 tuning—a revised system voicing aimed at higher detail focus, greater micro-dynamics, and an overall more precise, more lively presentation.
ETHER Flow 1.1 builds on proven DCA technologies such as TrueFlow (motor waveguides that reduce turbulence in the magnetic gap) and the refined V-Planar diaphragm structure for controlled excursion and low distortion. The result is a more even frequency response with cleaner bass, a clear midrange, and fine-grained treble.
The ultra-light yet rigid chassis with a NiTinol memory-metal headband distributes pressure evenly and feels almost weightless. Premium earpads provide a reliable seal (C Flow) or maximum openness (Flow 1.1), ensuring comfort for many hours.
ETHER Flow 1.1 (open): wide stage, strong imaging, natural tonality—free and transparent.
ETHER C Flow (closed): excellent isolation, contoured bass, focused presentation—without sacrificing fine detail.
