AUDMA combines this with a powerful Class AB amplifier architecture, a dual-mono power supply, six gain settings, balanced and unbalanced connectivity, and an integrated AKM DAC supporting PCM up to 768 kHz and DSD256.

ELISA: loudspeaker imaging through headphones

Headphones separate the left and right channels almost completely. This hard separation is one reason why many recordings feel less natural than they do through good loudspeakers. ELISA addresses this directly by reconstructing spatial information so that music appears more in front of the listener — not merely between the ears.

The Stage and Angle controls allow precise adjustment. Stage defines the intensity of the spatial expansion, while Angle changes the virtual loudspeaker angle. The Maestro can therefore be tuned subtly or more expansively, depending on the headphone, recording and personal preference.

Uncompromising amplifier architecture

The Maestro HPA1 was designed for the most demanding headphones. With up to 2 × 8.8 watts into 140 ohms, up to 70 V peak-to-peak output voltage and six selectable gain settings, it offers enormous reserves — even for power-hungry planar magnetics.

The dual-mono power supply with custom audio transformers ensures strong channel separation, control and stability. Premium components such as Nichicon capacitors, WIMA Red Series capacitors, ALPS Alpine motorized potentiometers and Alpha rotary switches underline the audiophile approach.

DAC, preamplifier and analog control center

The integrated digital converter is based on the AKM AK4490REQ with VELVET SOUND™ technology and supports high-resolution signals up to PCM 768 kHz and DSD256. USB, coaxial and optical inputs allow the Maestro to connect directly to modern digital sources.

At the same time, the Maestro can serve as a high-quality preamplifier. RCA and XLR outputs allow seamless integration into a loudspeaker system, where it becomes a precise analog control center.

The chassis, massive controls, illuminated elements and VU meters make the Maestro a component that is not only heard, but deliberately operated. At 8.7 kg — or 11.3 kg in the Luxury version — it has the presence of a true reference device.
