2go is a high-performance streamer/server that transforms the Hugo 2 DAC into a fully featured Wi-Fi and Ethernet-enabled device, with up to 4 TB solid-state library playback. It brings the proven sound-quality benefits of Chord’s award-winning Hugo 2 DAC technology into the world of network audio.
2go includes two microSD card slots (up to 2 TB each) for storage and playback, allowing Hugo 2 to operate as a high-capacity digital music server (with MPD) in addition to streaming. Crucially, when used with Hugo 2 (after charging), digital playback can be powered entirely by battery—with no external power supplies required for a truly purist sound.
Inside, 2go houses advanced miniaturized electronics based on proprietary British technology—like all of Chord’s amps and DACs. Combined with Hugo 2, it creates one of the most sonically advanced compact music streamers available today.
Wireless convenience (long-range 2.4 GHz Wi-Fi and A2DP Bluetooth®) is paired with the stability and performance of Gigabit Ethernet, which supports plug-and-play operation. 2go is also Roon Ready, supports gapless playback and DoP/bit-perfect, and is fully DLNA compatible (server/renderer) and AirPlay enabled.
A key feature is automatic input switching: each audio interface is always on, so switching sources is as simple as pressing “Play” in your chosen control app. 2go automatically switches between inputs, providing a seamless experience when playing music from different sources or streaming services.
