The DAC204 is a multi-format digital-to-analog and digital-to-digital converter.
With its wide range of input and output options, it is equally at home in a professional mixing or mastering studio as it is in an audiophile listening room.
DIGITAL ACCEPTED HERE
The DAC204 accepts incoming digital audio streams directly from any USB-equipped computer, tablet, or mobile phone. It can also receive S/PDIF and AES/EBU audio via its S/PDIF or Toslink connectors.
OUTGOING AUDIO
The DAC204 converts incoming digital streams to analog audio signals and outputs them simultaneously via its balanced XLR and unbalanced RCA connectors.
It can also perform digital-to-digital conversion, outputting digital audio in AES/EBU or S/PDIF formats via the corresponding connectors, as well as through a BNC output.
If the incoming audio signal is in DSD format, the DAC204 can convert it to PCM.
STAY CONNECTED
The DAC204 can remain permanently connected to multiple digital devices; you can easily switch between them using the front-panel input selector.
PRODUCT COMPARISON
The DAC204 is the bigger sibling of the DAC205. Both units offer the same conversion quality, but the DAC204 adds a USB input and can convert DSD to PCM audio.
