Atom Phono is a powerful RIAA phono preamplifier and a clean equalizer in one. Its flexible bypass switches allow it to be used as an equalizer or a phono preamp—both or neither. Selectable gain of 30/40 dB delivers far more volume than typical integrated phono preamps, while noise and distortion remain impressively low.

Atom Phono delivers exactly what you expect from a phono preamplifier and more. It fits seamlessly into your vinyl setup, can be paired with other Atom devices, or used as a mix of both.

Features

• Tone Control
  Also known as a 2-band EQ, this is a low-noise Baxandall adaptation customized for deeper bass and sparkling highs. Bypass the EQ at will—there’s no loss of performance when using the EQ with the phono stage.
• Dual Gain
  Selectable amplification of 30 dB or 40 dB. At 40 dB, a typical 15 mV MM cartridge is amplified to over 1.5 VRMS—about 4× stronger than an average phono preamp.
• Subsonic Filter
  A subsonic filter based on the NJM5532 prevents low-frequency turntable noise from being amplified and sent to your headphones or speakers, improving sound quality and preventing unwanted low-frequency driver movement.
• Low Noise
  As a phono preamplifier, Atom Phono is remarkably low-noise—even at high gain.
