Packed with award-winning features and functionality, the xDSD Gryphon uses technology from desktop DACs to create a portable DAC/amp that is up to any challenge.
Portable DAC/headphone amp with hi-res Bluetooth, USB and S/PDIF
The xDSD Gryphon redefines portable audio by excelling in both the digital and analogue domains—a rare feat in the world of portable DAC/amps. Like its mythological namesake, it combines two powerful elements in one remarkable device.
At its core is an Ultra-Res digital stage featuring Burr-Brown MultiBit technology, working in perfect harmony with a PureWave analogue section and delivering an impressive 1,000 mW of power. This pairing makes the Gryphon a formidable partner for high-end headphones.
Its architecture keeps key sections separate—Bluetooth receiver, DAC and amplifier—each optimised for top-tier performance. Connectivity is equally flexible, with USB and S/PDIF for digital sources plus 4.4 mm and 3.5 mm connections for analogue devices.
On the wireless side, the xDSD Gryphon is at the forefront thanks to Bluetooth v5.1 based on the QCC 5100 series. It supports an extensive range of codecs: aptX Adaptive and HD, LDAC, HWA/LHDC, standard aptX including Low Latency, AAC and SBC.
What truly sets it apart is the refined signal path—from the QC5100 receiver through a Global Master Clock for jitter elimination to the Burr-Brown DAC. It’s extra engineering done for a reason: wireless performance that can genuinely compete with many wired connections.
