Violectric DHA V226

DAC, Headphone Amplifier and Preamplifier in a Compact High-End Unit

The Violectric DHA V226 combines a powerful D/A converter, a fully balanced headphone amplifier, and a high-quality preamp stage in a compact chassis. The integrated DAC is based on the Cirrus CS43131, offering a typical 130 dB dynamic range and an extremely low –115 dB THD+N figure. Via USB-C, it supports PCM up to 32-bit / 384 kHz as well as DSD up to 256.

Key Features

  • 2 analogue stereo inputs (RCA, unbalanced)
  • 1 digital input (USB-C) up to 32-bit / 384 kHz PCM and DSD64–256
  • 32-bit DAC with 130 dB dynamic range and –115 dB THD+N
  • ±18 dB PRE-GAIN for perfect matching between source and headphones
  • Alps RK27 volume potentiometer with a solid 38 mm aluminium knob
  • Four powerful output stages: 3500 mW Pmax @100 Ω, 23 V RMS @600 Ω
  • Delayed switching of the headphone outputs after power-on
  • Headphone and line-out paths can be switched independently

Headphone Outputs

  • 4-pin XLR (balanced)
  • 4.4 mm Pentaconn (balanced)
  • 6.3 mm (1/4") TRS (unbalanced)

Line Outputs

  • RCA (unbalanced)

Technology Highlights

  • Ultra-low noise: very low internal gain makes self-noise virtually inaudible.
  • High output voltage: ±50 V internal supply voltage for high-impedance headphones.
  • High output power: huge reserves for low-impedance and planar magnetic models.
  • High damping factor: extremely low output impedance for linear frequency response and excellent control.

Whether used as a DAC, a headphone amp, a preamp—or all three at once—the DHA V226 delivers a compact form factor, top-tier engineering, and truly audiophile sound quality.
