NOIRE X™ refreshes the iconic AEON 2 NOIRE with DCA’s most advanced acoustic metamaterial solution – the Acoustic Metamaterial Tuning System™ (AMTS™) – paired with an improved driver inside an elegant, ergonomic design. A black-on-black aesthetic, Gorilla Glass 3 ear cups, new earpads, a self-adjusting headband, and refined details showcase the many innovations, all aimed at maximizing listening pleasure. Acoustic Metamaterial Tuning System (AMTS)

The signature highlight of NOIRE X is AMTS, previously reserved for our flagships Stealth, Expanse, E3, and Corina. It applies metamaterial design concepts to shape frequency response while eliminating high-frequency standing waves—often the cause of artificial, fatiguing treble. The result is a balanced, airy, and nuanced top end without harshness.

Better Technology, Better Sound

At its core, NOIRE X features an updated AEON driver. It is stiffer, more consistent, lower in distortion, and more reliable than its predecessor. New manufacturing processes and refined V-Planar embossing yield a smoother response and reduced distortion across the band, reaching a level of detail previously reserved for higher tiers. Using Audio Precision 555B and B&K 5128 systems, the driver was precisely integrated with AMTS and the redesigned pads to deliver a strikingly clear presentation.

Self-Adjusting Headband

The self-tensioning headband distributes pressure evenly across the head, reducing fatigue for a near-weightless fit. No hot spots, no constant readjustment—ideal for long sessions.

Gorilla Glass 3 – Design Meets Durability

The new Gorilla Glass 3 finish brings subtle sheen and exceptional resistance to scratches and breakage. From the hand-stitched headband to the tone-on-tone logo, the design exudes restraint and quality.

Superior Comfort with New Pads

The newly developed pads use Alcantara contact surfaces to minimize heat and humidity, keeping you comfortable during extended listening. The foam design reduces “foam rolling” and extends longevity. NOIRE X pads are compatible with AEON 2 NOIRE, AEON RT Closed, and AEON 2 Closed.

Included are multiple terminations: 6.3 mm / 3.5 mm combo jack, 4-pin XLR, and 4.4 mm balanced. For maximum flexibility, upgrade to VIVO ultra-premium cables in various lengths and terminations—pair NOIRE X with virtually any amplifier without costly third-party cables.
