Unlike typical open-back headphones

NOIRE XO is among the few open-back headphones tuned to follow the Harman reference curve—for a truly balanced signature. The result: strong, precise bass reminiscent of closed-backs, without sacrificing the openness and clarity that define open designs.

The next-gen NOIRE driver is stiffer, more accurate, and lower in distortion, with improved reliability and a more linear frequency response. Refined V-Planar embossing and updated manufacturing processes further optimize the planar driver. Measurements using Audio Precision 555B and B&K 5128 ensure high precision alongside the AMTS system and newly developed earpads.

Acoustic Metamaterial Tuning System (AMTS)

AMTS is the standout innovation behind NOIRE XO. Previously reserved for flagship models like Stealth, Expanse, E3, and Corina, this critically acclaimed system uses metamaterial design principles to eliminate high-frequency standing waves that can make many headphones sound sharp or artificial. The result is a natural, airy treble that stays detailed yet smooth—so you can listen longer without fatigue.

Luxury comfort with new pads

Newly developed earpads with Alcantara contact surfaces reduce heat and moisture, staying fresh and comfortable even during long sessions. The optimized design prevents “foam rolling”, improves durability, and maintains a consistent fit. Compatible with AEON 2 NOIRE, AEON RT Closed, and AEON 2 Closed.

Self-adjusting headband

The self-tensioning headband distributes pressure evenly, avoids hotspots, and reduces fatigue. NOIRE XO delivers a balanced, near-weightless fit—perfect for long, immersive listening sessions. The tone-on-tone styling completes the refined look.

Versatile connectivity

Included are multiple terminations: a 6.3 mm / 3.5 mm combo plug, 4-pin XLR, and 4.4 mm balanced. For maximum flexibility, VIVO Ultra-Premium cables can be added in different lengths and terminations. That way, NOIRE XO pairs easily with virtually any amplifier—without expensive third-party cables.
