AFDS technology: the art of control
The Air Film Damping System controls diaphragm motion via a precisely managed air film and prevents any contact with the magnets. This enables deep, natural bass even with an open-back design. The extremely light aluminum diaphragm—around one third lighter than typical dynamic diaphragms—delivers brilliant treble resolution without hardness.

Open ear pads & maximum comfort
The open ear pads made from a breathable foam structure and specialty fibers allow deep bass with a natural sense of space. The D8000 delivers an airy, open soundstage with exceptional wearing comfort—even during long sessions.

Precision & modularity
The aluminum-magnesium frame is manufactured to the highest precision, with every detail optimized for resonance control and stability. All components are screwed together and therefore replaceable—making servicing and future upgrades straightforward. Manufactured and assembled in Kawasaki, Japan with in-house quality control at reference level.

Cables & accessories
Included are two detachable OFC cables: 1.5 m with a 3.5 mm plug and 3 m with a 6.3 mm plug, both with a locking mechanism. The D8000 redefines the standard for planar magnetic headphones—pure Japanese engineering.
