Discover your headphones anew: dCS Lina Headphone Amplifier delivers neutral high-end sound, power, and finesse – perfect for any listening setup.
High-End Headphone Amplifier
The dCS Lina Headphone Amplifier unlocks the full potential of any headphone and any music — whether IEMs, dynamic, planar, or reference over-ears. With an ultra-low output impedance, it drives virtually any headphone design with authority and adapts seamlessly to each model’s requirements.
With the Lina Headphone Amplifier, dCS introduces its first standalone headphone amplifier — built on decades of experience in developing world-class audio technology. Its foundation comes from the award-winning Bartók Headphone DAC, refined and evolved into a dedicated high-end module for serious headphone listening.
Throughout development, the dCS team combined proven concepts with creative innovation and extensive real-world testing — raising performance, efficiency, and neutrality to a new level. The result is an amplifier that delivers immense control, powerful dynamics, and maximum transparency, while adding virtually no sonic character of its own.
At the heart of the Lina Amplifier is a novel Super Class AB output stage, combining the purity and low distortion of Class A with the efficiency and reduced heat of Class B. An intelligent DC servo system with innovative error correction keeps the signal path exceptionally clean and optimizes operating conditions in every mode — without the typical crossover distortion of conventional AB designs.
The Lina Headphone Amplifier features multiple balanced and unbalanced inputs (buffered and unbuffered), making it easy to integrate into any high-end headphone system — regardless of source or output impedance. As the perfect partner for the Lina Network DAC it forms an uncompromising Head-Fi stack, yet remains equally flexible with virtually any source component.
Different headphones demand very different combinations of voltage and current. The Lina Amplifier was engineered to drive loads across a wide range of impedances and sensitivities — from Hifiman Susvara and Focal Utopia to sensitive IEMs and classic dynamic designs. Adjustable gain, an extremely low noise floor, and vast dynamic range deliver both power and silence — without distortion or hiss.
dCS has always stood for transparency and authenticity. The Lina Headphone Amplifier was designed to avoid coloration and reproduce the true character of your headphones and music. Whether your headphones are tuned neutral, warm, bright, or dark, Lina amplifies without sweetening or masking — so you hear them as their designers intended.
The Lina Headphone Amplifier is a completely new design — from its PCB architecture and component selection to its substantial machined aluminium chassis, offering excellent protection against acoustic and electromagnetic interference. Every element was engineered for maximum performance, reliability, and longevity — for what may be one of the most complete headphone amplifier experiences in its class.
