The STAX SRM-270S is a compact electrostatic driver amplifier and serves as an entry point into the world of genuine STAX Earspeakers. Despite its compact dimensions, it incorporates key technologies from STAX’s larger amplifiers and delivers the characteristic electrostatic speed, transparency, and fine detail retrieval STAX has been known for for decades.

Inside, the SRM-270S uses a fully discrete solid-state circuit with FET-based signal amplification. Its DC-coupled architecture avoids coupling capacitors in the signal path, resulting in a highly direct, fast, and clean presentation with excellent detail retrieval and precise spatial imaging.
