Technically, the SRM-D50 features fully discrete amplifier stages inspired by STAX’s larger reference driver units. At the same time, it integrates an ESS ES9018 DAC with USB, optical and coaxial inputs and supports high-resolution PCM and DSD playback. This makes the D50 an ideal centerpiece for modern streaming and computer-audio systems.

Sonically, the SRM-D50 delivers the unmistakable STAX presentation: exceptionally fast, airy and resolving, with remarkable microdetail retrieval and a highly open treble response.
