Ferrum HYPSOS

“Hybrid Power System” is Ferrum’s way of describing a power supply that communicates with the powered device through dedicated circuitry, delivering the right amount of energy exactly when the system needs it. Sonically, the payoff is a tighter, more dynamic presentation — and a rare ability to shape the character of your system beyond EQ by fine-tuning the supply voltage.

With Ferrum components this becomes immediately tangible: you can adjust the voltage (typically 22–30 V) and steer the balance from “smooth yet detailed” to “brutally resolving, still without sibilance”. It sounds odd on paper — but makes instant sense once you hear it.

Devices can be selected from the touchscreen list of supported models, or powered via manual voltage and current settings if your unit isn’t listed. HYPSOS can also be paired with an Apple remote, allowing you to put the power supply into standby from across the room.

HYPSOS: a new category in hi-fi

HYPSOS defines a brand new category of hi-fi products. It’s not a simple power supply, but an audio component of its own — often as important to a setup as any other piece. Software-controlled with as few hardware-dependent elements as possible, and designed with future updates in mind.

Sweet Spot Tuning (SST)

Fine-tune the output voltage for the best sound. Voltage can be safely adjusted on the fly for quick A/B comparison testing.

4T Sensing Design (4TSD)

Ensures the exact voltage level precisely at the powered device’s DC input terminal. Special cable design and feedback keep voltage flat at every moment, reducing the impact of cable resistance and improving transient response.

Advanced Automation

Compatibility with Apple TV remote, Trigger in/out connector, and automation options for powering up devices with standby mode — even without a dedicated trigger connection.

Extremely safe to use

Automatic Transformer Voltage Adjust (ATVA), electronic output voltage polarity switch, plus overvoltage, current limit and short-circuit protection.

Detailed and revealing — yet unfatiguing

Helps your current setup perform to its potential. Tweak the sound by modifying the voltage level on the fly and combine 4-Terminal Sensing and Spread Spectrum Mode settings to your preference.
