The Gold Note DS-1000 EVO LINE is the logical extension of the DS-1000 EVO with a built-in Class-A preamplifier. All the core functions of the base version remain: the dual-mono D/A converter with PCM up to 32-bit/384kHz and DSD512, the extensive digital and analogue input range, and the network streamer with Spotify, TIDAL, Qobuz, Deezer, vTuner, Roon Ready and AirPlay 2 – now complemented by a full preamp stage built right into the unit.

This means the DS-1000 EVO LINE can be connected directly to a power amplifier or active speakers without a separate preamplifier, handling volume control and source switching itself. Control via the GN Control app, OTA firmware updates and Bluetooth 5.0 for wireless pairing all match the DS-1000 EVO, as does the headphone output with two selectable sensitivity levels.

Inputs and outputs remain identical to the DS-1000 EVO: six RCA, TOSLINK, AES/EBU, USB-A and USB-B digital inputs, analogue XLR and RCA inputs, plus RCA and XLR outputs, together with the connection option for an external tube stage and power supply.

Within the DS family, the DS-1000 EVO LINE is the most complete solution for anyone who wants to skip a separate preamplifier altogether – while the standard DS-1000 EVO, as a pure D/A converter with line outputs, is meant to integrate into an existing preamp-based chain.
