Atom DAC 2 helps your amp shine by ensuring that it delivers its rated power. Additionally, Atom DAC 2 operates cooler due to a more efficient I/V stage, and its new aluminum enclosure is custom engravable!
High-precision desktop DAC with USB Type-C and TOSLINK
The Atom DAC 2 features USB Type-C and TOSLINK inputs and runs the latest upgradeable XMOS-based firmware with UAC2 support and UAC1 fallback. Its subtle light ring illuminates during use, switches off automatically when idle, and wakes instantly and silently.
Metal chassis
The Atom DAC 2 is housed in an aluminum enclosure. The anodized finish can be customized with a free engraving. Simply add text or a graphic in the cart.
USB Type-C
The Atom DAC 2’s native USB Type-C input receives up to 32/384 kHz PCM via a custom XMOS-based UAC2 engine with ASIO and DSD support. UAC1 mode for PS5 or Nintendo Switch is enabled when a UAC1 fallback cable is used.
Higher efficiency
The Atom DAC 2 is powered by an optimized power distribution network with an external AC transformer and 10 regulators, ensuring constant rail voltage and extremely low ripple. It is also more efficient than the Atom DAC+, saving power and running 5°C cooler.
MEMS oscillator
The Atom DAC 2 is clocked by 45/49 MHz MEMS oscillators with ±25 ppm frequency stability, delivering minimal jitter.
Upgradeable firmware
The Atom DAC 2’s XMOS-based firmware configures and manages all functions, with DFU support for future updates.
Auto standby
The Atom DAC 2 automatically enters standby after 5 minutes of USB inactivity and turns off its light ring, then wakes instantly and silently. The light ring has been revised and is now screwed into the aluminum chassis for increased robustness.
Differential summing I/V output stage
The differential output of an ES9018K2M DAC is paired with our unique, DC-coupled, precision-tuned transimpedance stage, using three OPA1692 per channel (six op-amps total).
No more rocker switch
Yes, the Atom DAC 2 has a proper power switch. The inline rocker switch included with the Atom DAC(+) is no longer needed.
