Huei was fully developed, engineered, and manufactured in the UK, and carefully designed to bring turntables the same high-gain standards that Chord Electronics has become known for over the last 30 years.

With both moving magnet and moving coil functionality, Huei offers broad cartridge compatibility thanks to extensive gain and impedance matching options. Huei’s high- and low-gain switch settings are easily accessed via the front-panel controls, providing welcome flexibility.

Huei’s advanced design delivers (for the first time in a Chord Electronics phono preamp) ultra-low-noise microprocessor control of key functions, including a convenient memory feature. With multiple impedance matching options, eight-step switchable gain, and a switchable rumble filter, Huei offers comprehensive compatibility.

Machined from solid aircraft-grade aluminum, Huei shares a similar form factor to the company’s Qutest DAC and also features a top-mounted window revealing the illuminated electronics within. The design also includes the same polychromatic control spheres the brand is known for on its digital products. The illuminated front spheres provide direct access to Huei’s gain and impedance settings, MM/MC selection, and the built-in rumble filter.

Huei is an elegant, practical, and high-performance solution for integrating turntables into Chord Electronics (and other) systems, offering unbalanced (RCA) and balanced (XLR) outputs with RCA inputs. A high-quality external 12 V power supply is also included.
