Spacious clarity. Lightweight build. 100% ZMF.
The Bokeh Open is a modern interpretation of the classic ZMF sound: rich, natural and musical – in a lighter, more compact design. As an open-back headphone, it delivers an immersive soundstage and a flexible concept, making it an ideal entry point into the world of ZMF.
Crafted from SpectraPly – a vibrant birch wood laminate – the Bokeh Open introduces genuine solid-wood grilles for the first time: Wenge on the Harvest version and Tigerwood on Slate. Premium materials, metal accents and leather complete the refined look and feel.
The smaller, lighter ZMF chassis makes the Bokeh Open more portable without sacrificing ZMF’s musical DNA. The tuning is neutral yet lively, with excellent timbre, punch and dynamics – open, spacious and simply enjoyable.
With specially developed Caldera pads for the Bokeh, it achieves a balanced signature and high comfort, even for long listening sessions.
Thanks to its 80-ohm driver, the Bokeh Open runs easily from a laptop or portable player, yet clearly scales with powerful amplifiers. Available in Harvest or Slate.
Note: Each ear cup is unique due to natural wood grain patterns.

Frequency response
The line marked as target is something you could call the “ideal” curve: a target response derived from research by the Harman group, exploring what kind of headphone tuning tends to be preferred by a broad range of listeners – regardless of age or demographics. This is often referred to as the Harman Target.
From left to right you see sub-bass, bass, mids, and then the curve tilts upward where treble begins. That part of the spectrum is naturally amplified by the shape of the human ear.
Sub-bass sits slightly below the target, the bass follows the target curve. The lower mids are neutral, the presence region around 3 kHz hits the target. The treble follows the target, and the range above 10 kHz stays on the curve. Left and right channels track each other closely, a sign of careful driver matching.
