Hand-braided Meze cable made of Furukawa PCUHD copper – 2.5 m, dual 3.5 mm mono plugs

The original from the manufacturer: Meze braids its premium cables by hand in Romania from Furukawa PCUHD copper. PCUHD stands for "Pure Copper Ultra High Drawability" – an exceptionally pure copper that can be drawn into very fine strands while staying flexible and resistant to breakage. Each cable consists of 140 individual conductors of 0.04 mm.

Meze itself describes the copper version as the fuller, more musical tuning, with tighter bass and vocals that stand out more clearly. The silver-plated version is available here.

Which headphones does it fit?

On the headphone side sit two 3.5 mm mono plugs, as used by Meze on the 99 Classics, 105 AER, 105 Silva, 109 Pro, Strada, Liric and Poet. The cable replaces the stock cable directly, no adapter needed.

Termination of your choice

On the amplifier side you choose the plug that fits your device when ordering:

• 6.35 mm – the classic quarter-inch jack for headphone amplifiers and hi-fi components
• 4-pin XLR balanced – for desktop headphone amplifiers with a balanced output

At 2.5 m the length is made for the listening chair and a desktop amplifier.

Who is this cable for?

For anyone who wants to run their Meze headphones balanced, needs a different length than the stock cable, or is looking for a replacement in original quality. If you only need a different plug, the copper cable serves you well; the silver-plated version is Meze's recommendation as a sonic upgrade.
