STRADA is Meze Audio’s new closed-back dynamic headphone, designed to deliver a natural, immersive and comfortably fatigue-free experience—even during long sessions.
Acoustic engineering
At the core of STRADA sits a dynamic driver first introduced with the 109 PRO, here carefully re-tuned for a closed enclosure. The result: the same engaging musicality, now with tighter control and isolation.
The W-shaped composite dome, made from cellulose reinforced with carbon fiber, provides high rigidity and fast transient response. A PVD beryllium-coated torus further improves speed and precision, while a copper-zinc alloy stabilizer helps reduce vibrations and unwanted distortion.
Design & materials
Built entirely in Romania, STRADA uses a precision frame derived from the LIRIC project, adapted for a dynamic driver. The magnesium structure strikes an ideal balance of lightness, rigidity and comfort—at around 330 g, STRADA stays effortless on the head.
Ear cups crafted from Macassar ebony—dense, refined and acoustically prized—add character and elegance. A padded headband distributes pressure evenly, while magnetic leather ear pads allow quick, secure replacement without compromising the seal. The distinctive hand-painted green finish, applied in four layers, completes the look with a classy, unmistakable touch.
Sound signature
Despite its closed-back design, STRADA delivers a spacious, natural soundstage alongside effective passive noise isolation. The tuning is balanced and musical—relaxed, yet consistently engaging.

What does this mean?
The line marked as target is something you could call the “ideal” curve: a target response derived from research by the Harman group, exploring what kind of headphone tuning tends to be preferred by a broad range of listeners – regardless of age or demographics. This is often referred to as the Harman Target.
From left to right you see sub-bass, bass, mids, and then the curve tilts upward where treble begins. That part of the spectrum is naturally amplified by the shape of the human ear.
Sub-bass sits clearly above the target, the bass follows the target curve. The lower mids are neutral, the presence region around 3 kHz hits the target. The treble is clearly tuned more relaxed – never sharp, easy over long sessions, above 10 kHz there is a little extra air. Left and right channels track each other closely, a sign of careful driver matching.
