Numbered one-of-a-kind pieces. ZMF builds the Teak Caldera as one-offs: every set has its own fixed specification of chassis, rods, grilles and BBB strap and exists only once. Here you choose the set and the plug. After your order we reserve the set with ZMF and confirm the set number and delivery date; at the same time we agree your second pair of pads with you. Delivery takes about 6–10 weeks. If the set has been taken in the meantime, we offer you another one or refund the full amount.

For this LTD edition ZMF builds the Caldera Open in teak. Teak has been trusted on the decks of ships for centuries. Tectona grandis is native to the monsoon forests of India and Southeast Asia and rich in natural oils and silica that let it resist water, weather and time. Those oils give teak its quiet glow: a golden brown that deepens towards honey and bronze, with straight grain broken now and then by dark streaks and ribbons of figure.

The sets differ in chassis (black aluminium or Mg12), in the colour of rods and grilles and in the BBB strap. The photos show every set with its specification and weight; choose a set and the gallery shows exactly that piece. Sets with an Mg12 chassis cost €200 more. The Mg12 magnesium chassis is about 34 g lighter than aluminium, painted rather than anodised, and may show wear over time.

Technology and tuning come from the Caldera Open: an 80 mm planar driver with ZMF’s patented CAMS magnet structure, 60 Ω and the Caldera pad system. Caldera lambskin pads, top and side perforated, come installed, vegan in suede; ZMF includes a second pair at no extra cost.

You choose the plug of the supplied cable together with the set: 2.5 mm, 3.5 mm, 4.4 mm, 6.35 mm or 4-pin XLR. We agree the second pair of pads and, if you wish, the vegan version without BBB strap with you when we reserve the set.
