Seven drivers, dual dynamic-driver bass and extended super-treble

The Incognita sits in the middle of the Power Trio series and goes beyond the Terra both sonically and technically: instead of a single dynamic driver, Lime Ears fits two 8mm dual-diaphragm dynamic drivers here, working together as a so-called "DualCore Bass Engine" to deliver more punch and control in the bass. Two drivers working in parallel each need to move less to produce the same sound pressure as a single driver – that lowers driver-internal distortion at high volumes and, at the same time, allows more sub-bass headroom before the driver hits its mechanical limits.

The bass is joined by two vented Knowles BA drivers for the lower midrange and two more for midrange/upper midrange, plus a specially modified Knowles RAU driver that Lime Ears calls the "HERO Super-Tweeter" – it extends the frequency response up to roughly 25kHz and adds extra air and resolution at the very top of the treble, well beyond what an unmodified BA driver would typically reproduce cleanly. In total the Incognita runs seven drivers, split across a hybrid dynamic-plus-BA concept that deliberately combines the strengths of both transducer types – impulse response in the bass, precision in the mids and highs.

The Incognita ships with a Single Crystal Copper cable with a 4.4mm balanced connector, plus Spinfit CP100 and optional Divinus Velvet eartips, a leather case, cleaning tool and cotton pouch – the same premium package as the Terra, just with more driver technology underneath.

Positioned between the entry-level Terra and the flagship Maris, the Incognita is aimed at listeners who want more bass dynamics and an extended super-treble region, without stepping straight into flagship territory with electrostatic and bone-conduction drivers.
