ZMF Atrium Closed LTD English Brown Oak
The closed Atrium in a limited wood edition
Limited edition, available while ZMF makes it. ZMF builds every pair to your configuration in Chicago; delivery takes about 6–10 weeks. The grain and colour of the wood vary from piece to piece and from the photos.
For this LTD edition ZMF makes the closed cups of the Atrium Closed from English Brown Oak. English Brown Oak comes from old forests in Britain and continental Europe. The oak grew slowly and is correspondingly dense; its dark colour comes from a natural fungal process in the heartwood, and mineral deposits draw fine streaks and figure. Brown Oak is considerably rarer than ordinary oak.
As standard the cups sit in a black aluminium chassis with black rods. For a surcharge you can choose the Charcoal Mg12 chassis with Coffee Gold rods and a matching Charcoal BBB strap, with leather or, without the BBB strap, entirely in vegan suede. The Mg12 magnesium chassis is about 34 g lighter than aluminium, painted rather than anodised, and may show wear over time.
Technology and tuning come from the Atrium Closed: a 300 Ω biocellulose driver and the Atrium Damping System, which gives the closed design air and space.
You choose the installed Caldera pads (Thin lambskin or suede, top and side perforated, or suede top-perforated only for a warmer sound) and a second pair that ZMF includes at no extra cost, plus the plug of the supplied cable: 2.5 mm, 3.5 mm, 4.4 mm, 6.35 mm or 4-pin XLR.

Who is the Atrium Closed LTD best suited for?
For anyone who wants the Atrium’s warm, lush signature in a closed-back design – with smooth bass impact and plenty of texture, yet airy and spacious – and would like a rare wood. The right choice if you need isolation without giving up the full ZMF character.
